Kapiti is a Foodies paradise! Restaurants, cafes, bars, craft beer brewers, a chocolate factory, cooking demonstrations, and classes there is a huge array of culinary treasures to be discovered. From casual dining to degustation Top Floor Bed & Breakfast is just a short walk to many of Kapiti's best eateries. 

If you love the beach and nature then Paraparaumu Beach is a one-minute walk from your room - take the beach towels and head to the beach for a swim, or take a walk along our 40kms of coastline.

Within a one-minute walk is the world-class Paraparaumu Beach Golf Courses or you could take a ferry to Kapiti Island for a day visit or to stay overnight.
 

We've got cycleways, walkways, beautiful nature hikes, museums, horse riding.......  and so much more.

Nga Manu Nature Reserve

The Nga Manu Bird Sanctuary’s history started in the 1970’s and over 40 years later is a hidden gem in the North Island. With the goal of preserving and conserving the native flora and fauna, a visit here will span your knowledge and building your connection with nature.

Cantharis Alpacas

Cantharis Alpacas is based in the hills above the Kapiti Coast, conveniently located just 45 kms North of Wellington. They offer private farm walks for you and the alpacas to be entertained. Tour group sizes are limited to a target maximum of 12 guests giving you plenty of time to get to know their alpacas.

Fly By Wire

You can bungee jump in 58 countries around the world but there is only one where you can fly by wire. You pilot the Fly By Wire plane flies in a stunning canyon with views overlooking Kapiti Island.  This is unlike any other thrill you’ll find in NZ.

Paekakariki Escarpment Track

With the nickname of NZ’s Stairway to Heaven, the Paekakariki Escarpment Track is an easily accessed hike that provides a doable challenge with epic views of Kapiti Island and the surrounding coastline.
