Within a one-minute walk is the world-class Paraparaumu Beach Golf Courses or you could take a ferry to Kapiti Island for a day visit or to stay overnight.

Paraparaumu Golf Course
The host of 12 New Zealand Opens, Paraparaumu Beach is considered by many to be the spiritual home of New Zealand golf. The course that tamed the Tiger in 2002, this is links golf at its purest.
Nga Manu Nature Reserve
The Nga Manu Bird Sanctuary’s history started in the 1970’s and over 40 years later is a hidden gem in the North Island. With the goal of preserving and conserving the native flora and fauna, a visit here will span your knowledge and building your connection with nature.

Cantharis Alpacas is based in the hills above the Kapiti Coast, conveniently located just 45 kms North of Wellington. They offer private farm walks for you and the alpacas to be entertained.
